  • Encourage you to give up on your goals.

What comes to mind when you think about perfectionism?

Usually, when people think of perfectionism, they imagine a task or a project being watched for the most minor details that may be flawed.

But perfectionism can also show up in different ways, such as needing:

  • Other people to do things the way you want them to.
  • Confidence that your efforts will guarantee results.
  • Things to be predictable.
  • To know certain things.
  • Things to be efficient.
  • Things to feel easy.
  • To avoid obstacles.
  • To know the plan.
  • Things to go fast.

If you want to avoid the consequences of your perfectionism, you first need to be aware of what your perfectionism looks like.
